If you have answered “no” to any of the above questions or “I don’t really know” to two or more then you can certainly benefit by learning more about Circle Sites and Circle-Sites Marketing. If you are like many website owners you have silently stated “no” to many of the above questions and may not even be sure of the definition of your “best” visitor. The truth of the matter is that even though there may be a “best visitor” this best visitor is often an individual from a specific niche and there are multiple “best visitors” coming from multiple specific niches.

Circle Sites and the associated marketing approach are all about niche-focused marketing. This approach is fast becoming the dominate commercial movement on the planet. Our society is a society of plenty and the Internet allows the connection between the products and services of our society and people of our society.

In a recent book titled “The Long Tail” by Chris Anderson this concept of niche markets is examined in detail. Chris Anderson refers to niche markets as the “Long Tail” and this is where most products and services are located. The Internet is a niche environment and the key to the successful use of it, from an individual’s perspective” is to find the niche products and services that you are interested in. This is true even if you are an “individual” working for a large corporation. Corporations also look for products and services in the long tail of the Internet. The task of the provider of these good and services is to allow yourself to be found and then to relate strongly and specifically to the visitor that has found you.

If your website does not speak specifically to the visitor, using images and graphics that help your site to relate strongly to him, then you are missing your opportunity. If you do no use the visitors language or if you do not design an offer specifically for her then you are missing an opportunity.
Many a website owner falls into the trap of trying to relate to all visitors in the same way as historically the website owner used one website to convey the message to all visitors. If the website could sell to the corporate client then there was a bit about corporate benefits (this turned off the individual consumer). If there was a message geared towards older people then the younger visitor could not relate.

If your business had a product that could work well with both horseback riders and motorcycles riders then to talk specifically to one group would naturally alienate the other. To provide your product to horseback riders you must be able to communicate directly to them and to provide your product to motorcycle riders means using special language, special images and perhaps a different special offer. Do you make your visitors feel special?
Historically, the website tried to be all things to all people and if the product of service was not niche-focused then the results were far from optimal.
The solution is to set up a suite of sites to convey a message and an offer designed specifically for the product and/or the target market. Circle Sites is enabling and affordable technology that allows this to happen.

The job of your website is to attract and then educate with a specific message. If this message is too general then your conversion rate will be in the mud as you, in effect, are not communicating to anyone. To try to communicate to all you end up communicating to no one.
